OSTEO-P® BONE GRAFT SUBSTITUTE
A Member of the Osteopoietic Systems Product Line
OSTEO-P® BONE GRAFT SUBSTITUTE
Osteo-P® Bone Graft Substitute (BGS) is a non-mineralized, synthetic bone void filler consisting of a hyper-crosslinked carbohydrate polymer. It is highly porous, biocompatible, biodegradable, and osteoconductive. Osteo-P® BGS is intended for the filling of bone defects created surgically or as a result of traumatic injury. When placed in direct contact with patient bone, Osteo-P® BGS supports and guides the ingrowth of new bone across the graft site and is resorbed as the healing process occurs.
Next Generation Bone Graft Substitute

Osteo-P® BGS is a non-mineralized, synthetic bone void filler created from leading edge hyper-crosslinked carbohydrate polymer technology. When placed in direct contact with patient bone, Osteo-P® BGS supports and guides the ingrowth of new bone across the graft site and is resorbed as the healing process occurs.

Highly Porous
Biodegradeable
Biocompatible
A REVOLUTIONARY OSTEOBIOLOGIC

Osteo-P® BGS provides the ideal microenvironment for cell
proliferation and vascularization leading to regeneration of healthy bone.

Radiolucent
Osteo-P® BGS is radiolucent upon implantation and becomes radiopaque as fusion occurs. This enables visualization of real-time fusion and healing, as well as early identification of pseudoarthrosis.
Osteoconductive
Osteo-P® BGS provides a physical scaffolding for cellular infiltration and proliferation. Its interconnected pores support and guide the ingrowth of new bone.
Synthetic
Osteo-P® BGS has no risk of disease transmission. The consistent quality of Osteo-P® BGS allows surgeons to easily manipulate and maximize direct contact with viable host bone.
Degradation Profile Matches Bone Formation
Osteo-P® BGS is replaced by newly formed bone following the natural course of repair and regeneration.
Standardized Pore Sizes
Overall Porosity: 75-95%
Macropores: 100 μm – 500 μm
Micropores: < 100 μm
Excellent Handling Characteristics
Osteo-P® BGS’ compressibility and tensile strength allow it to be gently packed in to fill a void or sutured in place.
